About Me
I’m an Australian law student, author, and comic fan.
I tend to post a lot of comics and Doctor Who, and try my best to be spoiler free and SFW. You’re welcome to message me at any time, anon or not, if you feel like having an awkward conversation with a dork.
Things I Like:
- Doctor Who (I started with The Eleventh Hour then went back and bought the boxset of the entirety of RTD’s run and marathoned it even though I prefer Moffat’s run. Eleven is forever my favourite Doctor and the Ponds my favourite companions.)
- Comics (Both Marvel and DC, and a few others such as Image [Invincible] and such. My favourite team is the Young Avengers, my favourite characters include but are definitely not limited to Dick Grayson, Wiccan, Spider-Man, kid!Loki, Amadeus Cho, Elixir, Victor Mancha, and Invincible.)
- The Lord of the Rings (Both the books and the film. See Exhibit A.)
- Young Justice (I have an attachment to Robin - the very first comic I picked up when I began to venture into DC properly was Nightwing #1.)
- Firefly (Um, duh. Witty, perhaps slightly stylized dialogue, interesting characters, intriguing story-lines, brilliant setting. I’d be bitter that they didn’t go with their original idea of making Kaylee Asian, but Jewel Staite did such a good job that I can’t begrudge them.)
- Sherlock (The BBC one even though the second episode was disappointing - I enjoy the characters.)
- Glee (A bit of a love-hate relationship. My faves are Mike and Blaine. Can’t stand Rachel and Finn.)
- Anime and manga (Check out Wandering Son and Natsume Yuujinchou - they’re both quite fun. Also Code Geass, but the story gets kind of weird and unsatisfying in the second season.)
- White Collar (It’s like what happens after the credits roll in Catch Me If You Can. I always enjoy smart, gutsy people outwitting others.)
- Harry Potter (I’m a Ravenclaw. My Pottermore wand looks like someone let their mind wander whilst carving a wooden stake for vampires.)
- Starkid (I enjoyed the Potter musicals, but haven’t had the opportunity or bandwidth to sit down and watch the others.)
- Misfits (Simon’s my favourite, love his ‘little brother’ relationship with Kelly, but I’m devastated that Nathan’s gone.)
- The Walking Dead (I hope the series keeps going for a while. My sister’s got the comics - I need to read them some time.)
