I WONT STOP REBLOGGING THIS EVERYTIME IT COMES ON MY DASH

The problem is that it isn’t all that clear how to sign this petition.  It gives you a drop down menu asking ‘are you signing?’.  You’d think that means ‘are you signing this petition’, however most people have replied ‘no’, sometimes with anti-ACTA comments.  So while this is a good idea, I’m a little baffled by this petition.

Please help. We won’t be able to send you BBC and European TV and stuff if this passes. As my friend said, this is dangerous and scary.

 ACTA is actually worldwide!

The negotiating parties include: Australia, Canada, the European Union, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Switzerland and the United States. And according to Wikipedia of all these participants only The EU, Mexico, and Switzerland have yet to sign!!!

All the negotiations were conducted behind closed doors until a series of leaked documents relating to the negotiations emerged which explains why there is little to no media coverages.

Actually, a European court said last November that ISP’s can’t be forced to block pirate sites, so I highly doubt ACTA will be enforced. Besides, the European Commission made it very clear that they are against things like SOPA and PIPA.

Don’t forget about the Canadian version, Bill C-32. Apparently the Canadians have sense enough to pass it.

Well.  This is not what anyone wants.
